Help with the NDIS

Feeling stuck with the NDIS? Start here.

You do not need to know every rule or find the perfect words. Choose the situation closest to yours, then take one step at a time.

I don’t understand my NDIS plan.

Start with three questions: What support do I need? What is funded in my plan? Who can help me put it in place? Write down anything you do not understand before speaking with your coordinator or NDIS contact.

We can discuss support coordination funding, provider choices and a practical starting point.

Help to understand and use your plan

My needs have changed or my plan isn’t working.

Keep a brief record of what has changed, when it happened and how it affects daily life. Note the supports that are no longer meeting your needs and any relevant information from your treating team.

A change to your circumstances and a review of an NDIA decision are different processes. Check the official guidance and any dates in your decision letter promptly. We cannot guarantee a funding outcome.

NDIA: plan changes and decision reviews

I’m unhappy with a provider or coordinator.

Write down the issue and the outcome you want. If it feels safe, raise it with the provider and keep a copy. You can ask a trusted person or advocate to support you.

The NDIS Commission handles concerns about the quality or safety of NDIS providers and workers. Funding decisions are a separate NDIA process.

NDIS Commission: complaints and advocacyDiscuss changing your coordinator

I’m new to the NDIS or don’t have a plan.

You can contact the NDIS directly for information about applying and the support available in your community. An NDIS partner can help you understand the system and find relevant services.

Contacting L3SC does not require a formal referral, but our paid services, funding and availability must be agreed before work starts.
